Frowsery

A resting spot for what would otherwise be ephemeral miscellany.

Perfectionist, much?

I screwed up the raglan increases and have 3 increases in a row.   No one in a million years would notice this, but I suspect it will drive me nuts until I rip back and fix it.

I’m tempted to rip it all out, anyway.  If I do, I’ll use GoodKarma’s neck modification and chart the lace pattern or pick a different lace pattern entirely.  I was thinking about starting with the neckline ribbing immediately instead of picking up stitches later, but I like the dropped neck more and I can’t do both at the same time.  I like Whistlepea’s picot variation, especially around the sleeves.  If I stick with short sleeves, I might stick with the puffy sleeve cap; I have enough yarn to do 3/4 length sleeves, in which case a picot edging would be nice, but the puffed sleeve cap would have to go.

I’m going to let it sit overnight and see if I can leave it as-is.  I’m doubting I’ll be able to.  It’s no wonder I’m so slow to finish projects.

  1. Hello! I can highly recommend revamping the neckline on Rusted Root. I plan to make another one someday, with the same neckline or even a smidge lower, without the puff and with 3/4 sleeves. It’s such a basic silhouette that any modifications work pretty well. Go for it!!
